Scottish Law problem with executor

I would be grateful for any help

What can I do if I suspect the executor of the will of doing everthing they can to delay sharing the estate to the beneficiaries and potential fraud. Their lawyer advised if he found any wrong doing he would not be representing them and this has now happened.

I'm afraid I'm not a Scots Law expert so I suspect that you will need to seek some face to face legal advice.

However, a couple of queries are you a residuary beneficiary? How long is it since the Grant was issued? Have you asked for the estate accounts?
I assume that the executor had instructed lawyers to act on their behalf. These lawyers have now stopped acting on behalf of the executor, is that correct? Do you know the reason or are you speculating due to a comment that has been previously made.

What provoked the lawyer to make the comment and who was this conveyed to about if they found anything wrong they would stop acting? A little more detail concerning the alleged fraud may assist us here, but as I mention Scots Law does differ from Eng/Wales so it may still be necessary to seek some specialist advice. We'll try and point you in the right direction if we can though.
