Ive been using Skype for the past month or 2 and it has proved excellent for recording conversations with the banks/FOS/ and any other company that gives cause for concern.
It has a recording facility that you can leave on, so trying to recap a conversation word for word is no longer a task.
You can write a reply while listening to the recording and addressing every issue accurately.
Its good for cheap calls but if its kept specifically for these calls a £10 voucher lasts ages. When you are called ask if you can call them back ( rephrase) Tell them you have to call them back. This also saves on paying for incoming skype vouchers.
Giving a warning that you are recording someone at the start of a conversation also means you can present the recording in court, so you may actually nail them harassing you on the phone with out the need for equipment other than a skype phone and your PC.
