Hi,
I need some advice regarding a problem I am having with Vodafone. I placed an order for an upgrade to iphone 5s 32Gb space grey on Tuesday 26th November as the website stated the product was in stock and available for delivery in 2-4 days. Within 24 hrs of placing the order I received an email from them stating the item was out of stock and they would update me in 3 days time. I have since spoken to several Vodafone staff since then with each of them telling me a different estimated delivery from 1-2 weeks to 4-6 weeks and basically lying to me in between times! I would just like to point out that even now their website says the phone is in stock and available for delivery in 2-4 days! Had their website stated that the phone was out of stock then I wouldn't have had and issue. I wondered if this could be classed as misrepresentation given that they are selling a product they don't actually have to sell even though the website says they do? I've noted that consumer law states "If the trader has told you something completely untrue it is known as ‘misrepresentation’ and is against the law." To top it off I am now in my new contract period and therefore being charged my new (higher) tariff! I've written a complaint letter to them regarding their incompetence of staff and their inability to amend a web page with the correct up to date information!
Thanks
Niki
