With BT on a monthly payment plan, it was OK, billed on about the 28th of one month and then DD out anything from the 6th to the tenth of following month.
On last bill payment date had changed to 3rd with no notice.
Had looked on BTs own forum

Lots of unhappy customers, but little feed back from BT
Then found out that they are sneaking in charges in January next year, customers are supposed to be getting notice of the change.
But they are now going to charge for such services as caller display and 1571.
