Hope summons dont come in threes.
Here we go,will try to explain best i can.
Have been summoned to magistrates court for watching tv without a licence.Its my first time,i may decide to plead NOT GUILTY as tech,i did have a licence issued by them.Only problem is i had not paid for it.
So is it a debt problem they should be trying to recover.
Had just returned home with my new second hand TV,not a plasma,the old type of telly.Was given to me by family member.
It was about 7:00 in afternoon,i was busy tuning telly,its broken ,no sound.
Knock come on my window,had my back to window,i shouted "hang on wont be a minute".
When turns round the gentleman asks me if i am such,such.
I was in full view of him fixing /tuning my broken telly.Eny how he comes in .Big mistake couldnt get rid of him,going on,on about working on Q2 ship,army,inbetween this he is trying to fix mt TV for me.
1Hour later,i have sorted Direct debit for TV licence.
The first direct debit was for 60+pounds,couldnt afford to pay it,co-incided with car insurance due.
So i e-mails them,explaining my position.
Next day to make sure TV debit does not get claimed befor my car insurance i canceld it.
Week later my TV licence comes in post,full TV licence holder,only prob is i now have no TV,never did get sound to work,so binned it few days after TV man came.
With the summons came statement from TV man who was in my house for 1 hour,he says my TV was being tuned when he arrived and no sound could be obtained from TV.
Through the telly out couple days later havent had one since.Eny ideas.
