Has anyone heard of this isp I couldnt log in to talktalk, who i have been with for a few years now, not the best but enough for what i need, and cheap on the phone bill
After several attempts yesterday, when i knew i was using my correct password,i got a pop up saying serious error ring this no [have to check the no again to post]
I assumed it was talktalk, but i spoke to someone who said they were timetalk, and they were cheaper and more reliable than talktalk, and based in Burnley
After telling this lady i had never heard of them she said they had been going since 1998,which i found hard to believe, being so unknown
I was then told severasl people from talktalk hadf contacted them, i soon realised that they had no choice,as their passwords were somehow blocked and they rang the no that came up, beleiving they were ringing talktalk,
They are extremely cheap, and reading on another forum a new ISP, i just wondered if anyone else had been contacted this way?or even heard of them

Yes i read that on another forum, and someone mentioned Supanet, the woman said they had been going since 1998, but she actually didnt sound very professional, and i think they are trying to poach customers off talktalk, as the name is so similiar, i domt know how they stopped my password from being recognised but they must have to have the pop up telling me it was a serious errori really thought it was from talktalk, and the only people she mentioned were talktalk customers
I am not going to risk changing anyway, i said i want to think about it, she arranged to ring back at 4pm, i had 4 missed calls one after the other between 4 and 4-30, desperate or what:tinysmile_hmm_t2:,

        contact OFCOM regarding slamming.

if they are blocking your internet connection with their passwords etc it is illegal as you are in a contract with TalkTalk.

I made the same mistake and the person answering the phone said that TalkTalk had authorised them to make engineering changes that would speed up the line - As they are different companies I seriously doubt that this person was telling the truth ? !! :tinysmile_cry_t:

Yes it happened to me. They led me to believe that they would pay the Talk Talk contract breakage fee. That sucked me in. Now I'm tied to them and they are disputing the repayment of the fee. I submitted a negative review on one of the review sites. They found it and forced the review site to temporarily remove it. I've told them to put it back until Time Talk tell me what it is they don't like. Lets see where this goes.

                  Re: Timetalk?

Only just seen the replies t0o my first post,i was tricked into phoning them, believing i was ri9nging talktalk,as i kept trying to log in and it wouldnt let me,a notice came up to say ring this no, cant remeber it now] but when i rang it was timetalk i was confused at first and said i thought io was rining talktalk, the woman then tried to persuade me to change to them, saying it was faster, and talk talk didnt have their own lines
I know for a fact that talktalk put new lines to my local exchange which i live very close to
I said i would think about it,
The same woman rang me back later that week, and i said no thank you
It has made me wonder how they blocked me logging in to my account

Like others have stated, I too was duped into joining Time talk. I am now tied into an eighteen month contract. At the end of this contract I intend to dump them. I DO NOT LIKE SHADY PRACTICES.
Time talk has not refunded the disconnection charge from Talktalk which came to over £80.

As time talk is registered in Cyprus, I am wondering if UK tax is being avoided as other companies trading in the UK have been reported as doing.

                          Re: Timetalk?

I have keyed in <Supanet> and ended up here - but it figures. I note Supanet have their HQ in Cyprus (Handy for them. One of my ex-customers, Azil Nadir, resided there, untouchable by HMRC et al). Sounds like the same set up. They have charged me an aggregate of £107 over about a year WITHOUT any authorisation to take the money. They keep saying"...can't find any cancellation order..." of course they can't. They never had an order in the first place. They "cloned" my credit card particulars from a one off £10 order I gave them to check outdated emails. Having a go at them in the Small Claims Court. Will let you know the outcome.

Was you made aware of their data Cap?
Sadly nothing on their website even states such a cap exists and this is another con artist tactic they use to talk talk customers after getting them on side.
I spoke with reps over the phone because my mother signed up to the service being promised a better deal and all that other bulls**t they use.
Lie after lie and now were locked in to 18 months, only deal is this is a high data usage house, i stream and download heavily as i'm a subscriber to most media streaming sites aswell as a active Gamer & Very Active steam account holder who will be downloading a new game pretty much any time there is a sale or a pre-order is out.

Now i know for a fact the AVG gaming house hold, uses in excess off 100+ Gig a month data, and MMO gamers more then most, which is why when i saw the unlimited 9.99 deal saying you could play CoD and WoW (saying that do they know most people down load the 40gig client for wow online when installing)
how much data is used in a single evening.

Steam users will constantly be updating games at maybe 500MB a time or more.

The fact is they offered an Unlimited service they said i could use to download my games on and not once say there was a 40GB cap.
till after they took near 180 pounds in the first bill shocking my mother and causing us both to argue.

end of the day how the hell did this company even aquire BT lines to Rent out to marks i don't know, they are crooks in general and were hoping to figure a way to sue them.
they just took another payment of over 100 pound for this month, i'm sure they are thinking were stupid, tbh i'm starting to think we are.

TimeTalk are still up tp their tricks.... The same has happened to me.... thought i was talking to TalkTalk after calling that phone number only to be duped into accepting their offer,,, 10 minutes later I called back to say cancel everything and was 'transferred' to cancellations only to be hanging on waiting for someone to answer. When I eventually got through to someone, I told them I no longer wished to join them and they said ok it was cancelled and that they would email me of the cancellation (which I never received. I informed my bank to be aware of them trying to start a Direct Debit and was told they would stop anything that came through. Then how come, today, they approached TalkTalk to disconnect me as I was to go to them!! I called my Bank and apparently they had tried three times to get a Direct Debit from me. I am Livid... of course, when trying to call TimeTalk today I was unable to get through.
Where do I stand with this scammy lot??
