Company name: Today's Living
Frequency: Daily- sometimes more than once a day

These..... pillocks for want of a nice name ring me on a daily basis from a withheld number. They want me to complete "a few questions for our lifestyle questionaire" to which they get told, on a daily basis, to rack off sideways!

They are the bane of my life and I can't block the call cos the number is withheld!!

Or, next time they call tell them to hold on while you answer the door (or something) ... and then leave the phone off the hook for 1/2 hr??

or ... have a whistle handy by the phone and blow it when they call?? (might hurt their ears tho' so be careful)

ok so my best friend Nich and his boyfriend Steve are here, just popped by to see how I was and to read my resignation letter before I hand it in.
I had primed them that the phone might ring and these numpties might be on the phone.
The phone rang and Nich answered it..

Nich: *Lurch voice* You raaaaaaaaaaaaang?
Operator: Do I have the pleasure of speaking with Mrs Caragh?
Nich: Nope.
Operator: You must me Mr Caragh, I hope you are having a lovely day today!
Nich: Nope, my canary just died, I had my right foot amputated last week and my pet chiwowwa got hit by a snowplough. Other than that I'm amazing!
Operator *flummoxed*: This is not a sales call...
Nich: Good cos if it was, I would have to advise you that the bankrupcy people said I can't do anymore telephone buying!
Operator *Totally confused*: I need to ask you 3 questions
Nich: Ok, Orange, Jedi and Trebor soft mints, there's your answers. Have a REALLY special day.. all sparkly and covered in glitter! Must dash.. Toodles!
*Phone goes down and we all have hysterics*

I once did the "I can't talk right now we've had a death in the family" one too (my youngest son ~ then 5 ~ had ran over a snail with his bike) xx

oh it was so funny, no one knew what he was going to do!!

you know that blank line as the sales line clicks in, he covered the mouthpiece and went "Yup this is them!" I'm pretty sure he screamed "IT IS ALIIIVE!!" when the woman answered.. me and Steve were trying to breathe at that point.

He did all the rolling eyes and pained expressions too, the guy should go on Britain's Got Talent and do it, it's amazing!
