Hi all,
Long story short, I owe about £700-£1000+ in Energy, kind of my fault, partner was a full time student etc.. single income...
Anyhow, British Gas obtained a warrant to enter our property several months back, I refused them entry and was able to set up a plan with our supplier Sainsbury. Didn't realize until recently that they're basically British Gas in disguise as it was a British Gas staffer that came to fit the meter..
Since then, all has been well.
Recently, we've had to miss a payment on this agreement because we are moving house shortly and need to save up as much as we can to afford this massive additional cost.
My question is this;
Can British Gas forcibly enter and install a pre-payment meter at our new address for a debt accrued at our old address and if so can they do this regardless of the current supplier at the property?
Thanks in advance
James
