Hi everyone
I could do with some help and advice on this one.
Back at the beginning of december last year i cancelled my vodafone contract within the cooling off period because of bad signal at work so i phoned up and the cancellation went through fine. They said that they would send me out a parcel so i can post my phone back and they can sort a refund out of my first bill i paid. a week went buy and i still hadn't received the parcel so i phoned up again and they said because of the christmas period it could take abit longer so i left it thinking it would come through within a few days. Another few weeks went by and i still hadn't received it and by this point they were trying to charge me for another bill. I had already cancelled my direct debit as i though the acc had been cancelled and they weren't going to charge me again. So i phoned up again and said i still hadn't received the parcel so they said they would send it out again AGAIN! fortunately this time it came through so i got my phone packaged up and send back to them and just waited for my refund.
The refund still hasn't come through and we are now 2 months after i originally cancelled the contract. I have been on the phone to vodafone about 6 times over the last week each time them telling me that it had been sorted and then my refund still not coming through. To make matters worse i received a letter saying i owe money to them and that if i don't pay then they will refer me to a debt collectors agency. I told them on the phone about this letter and they said not to worry about it and ignore the letter as they promised me it would not be sent through to a debt collectors.
Now today i have received a letter from the debt collectors saying my account has been referred to them from vodafone so they outright lied to me about that and now i will have a default on my credit history which i am not pleased about. The customer service rep i spoke to today would not put me through to a manager and would not tell me why there wasnt one available.
What legal actions can i now take against vodafone and how can i make sure as many people as possible know about how rubbish they actually are?
