What is it at the moment, just had a "battle" with BT and now have another in the pipeline with EON.
Been a customer since we moved here, in the days that they were Power gen.
Our little house is all electric. and the first winter bill was horrendous, managed to get an agreement to pay off .
The following year a new bill was due had a e-mail to say that it would be "read shortly" by the meter reader and that I need do nothing (More of this later!)
However still had an estimated bill but was "in credit" I phoned for an explanation and to be told that The reader could not gain access" this was untrue as the meter is on the side of the house.
Once that was sorted I now manage my account on line having just signed up to a new fixed tariff, my annual review is due in February and up to then the fixed amount of £49 per month.
Every time we have bill due we get the e-mail to say that the meter reader was due and this has only happened once in a year when they appeared three weeks after this so I did not belive this, read the meter my self and sent off reading.
Logged on again last night and they wanted to rise the monthly payment to £83!
Had to call them as the section on line would not let me alter it down any more that £58.
The adviser was very rude and condescending and I held my ground and insisted that this was all we could afford and that they were, in effect breaking the rules the whole idea was that my payments were fixed and according to the calculations that they themselves made there would only be a possible shortfall of about £2 so why the need to almost double it.
He did concede and now the payments will be £58.
I deceded to do a check to swich and can get a cheaper deal, the problem is that it is with EON!!!
How come they did not mention that.
They say that, currently they are not putting prices up, but do not hold your breath.:mad2:
