MAJOR UK utility co. mucked up some years ago- CAUSING major damage to premises- An overseeing Governing Body (GB) agreed and awarded payment after 24 months of to and fro.
payment not forthcoming until further involvement from GB eventually payment received .after 1 yr.
ADVISED Utility co. that we would seek compensation for loss of income as could not operate from premises due to delay of payment.
fOR 6 months they agreed to carry out the repairs we said ok then they said it would be quicker if we did them WE SAID OK AND WAITED A FURTHER 6 MONTHS FOR THEM TO PAY - DURING THAT TIME we were unable to let the property due their indecision and lost 6 months rent and were charged 3 months business tax empty rate.
we issued them with a bill for 4 months rent and 2 month business tax earlier this year and they are stalling??
do we have a chance?
