Complicated scenario water

Hi all,

Was living with parents who hadn’t been paying bills, the water company has found me due to credit report and created me an account. I moved elsewhere because parents were not willing to give their names to take this debt, water company can’t close the account as I’m not the bill payer at my current (new) address.

stuck between a rock and a hard place what are my options?
