I have a dispute with BG about an outstanding bill. I sold my house last year ( Aug) and had direct debits set up for both gas and electricity with them. When the house was sold, I sent them final readings and then received a bill for over £300 for both. I disputed this as I cannot understand how I would owe so much.
After numerous phone calls ( some lasting an hour) and passed through to various people, I was told they would not supply me with the last 12 months statements for me to check through.
I then sent a DSAR to Centrica asking for all data.
They sent me back a reply asking for further ID information which was sent back to them on 3/12/19. To date I have not had a reply nor received my documents requested. However, I have now seen that they have entered adverse credit on my file.
If an account is in dispute, can they still enter this information on my credit file?
Also I am getting constant emails/texts/phone calls from LCS their DCA despite me telling them it is in dispute. I did receive a letter from LCS saying they will hold back until 17/1/2020 but they still keep contacting me.
Any help here would be appreciated
