  • Cadent £10k Court Claim

This is a very unique situation as to which it would be useful to get opinions on different angles to approach this than I already have, since i cannot really find any ground breaking laws in writing that they have broken.

Currently this is now going to court with a date pending. We did not come to an agreement during mediation.

Attached is the Formal Complaint made which provides all the detail and timeline of this case as well as the Letter Of Claim.

    See Summary of Claim Below:
    • NG had taken 56 days to inspect its own works which they had previously carried out, with full knowledge that me and my family had no gas and therefore no hot water, heating or cooking facility’s.
    • NG have been Negligent, as they were continuously made aware of me and my family’s ‘Desperate’ situation by having no gas, but failed to take any appropriate action.
    • After NG surveyor failed to turn up for the long awaited appointment, NG then expected me to wait another 10 days for the next appointment, knowing me and my family’s ‘Desperate’ situation.

    Thanks in advance.

I have now uploaded the ruling to the original post.

      It was the Energy Ombudsman.
