I have finally managed to find out what has gone on! It turns out that Biz Energy had instructed Scottish power to turn the electricty off. Thing is, the business they wanted to turn off for a "HUGE" debt was not my boyfriends business. The company they wanted to turn off has the same address apart from the letter B at the end of the number (i.e 3B) my boyfriends business address was just 3! All we need now is the serial number for the meter. i rang biz energy and asked who owed the money and they gave me the name of the other business, i googled the name and found the address! Thank God! i feel so much better now i know what has happened. Just need to get compensation now as he lost his business because of this mistake!
