I moved into a new build flat in Feb of this year , on the day I moved in I phoned British Gas with the serial number and meter reading of my gas meter and was told that my meter was crossed over with one of the other flats and it would take about 12 weeks to rectify .I gave all the relevant info and even faxed a full list of flat numbers and the relevent serial numbers meter readings etc..
I have chased it up many many times since feb with no sucess and when I phoned yesterday they are now saying my meter is not even on the national grid data base ? The person I spoke to has passed it onto a 'specialist team' who are meant to have called me but havent
I have not had a bill as they said no account can be created yet and I really dont know what to do next as I seem to be hitting brick walls with British Gas every time I speak to them
My worry is that they will hit me with a huge bill i have had nothing in writing from them at all
Has anyone got any advice please
