Its now a good time to switch energy suppliers.
Last week, the last two of the big six providers increased their energy prices up so its now all level so a good time to do a comparison and possibly get a better deal as its a level playing field.
On Friday 29th August, Scottish Power and nPower joined EDF, E.ON, British Gas and Scottish & Southern in increasing rates by up to 35%.
You could make a saving of between £200 - £300 per year.
However internet based rates otherwise known as online tariffs have yet to have the price increased suppliers hold off putting these up for some time after generic price increases in an attempt to get people to still switch to them as they will generally show up on comparision sites as being cheaper. Therefore it is recomened to factor in an increase of 20%-25% when deciding who to switch to.
