We received a "Simple Procedure Decision Form" and it sets out an amount of £3000 that we apparently owe (we are a Ltd company.) However we never had dealings with this company, it was the previous owners. We haven't ever signed any contract and any paperwork they ever sent was in the previous owners name. However on the simple procedure form it's our company name. The only other paperwork we received from them was over a year ago and we emailed them to tell them it's not us who owe them them the money.
I received this via email. Is there anything I can do to defend this?
