Will distribution of Property

I would appreciate any guidance as regards the following scenario. Following the death of our last surviving Parent in Falkirk Scotland November 2022 in the Will I was named executor of the Estate in addition there are four other survivors ie my brothers and sisters. My question is that it appears from the Will that I as executor have effectively inherited the family house since the Will states ......to make over the entire residue of my said means and estate to and in favour of myself aforesaid notwithstanding that he is executor.


The other four as survivors are named as successors but there is no explicit reference to sharing the family house in the Will . Therefore what claims if any do the four survivors have regarding the ownership of the family house or is this matter a matter of discretion of the executor to determine ie myself. You describe the siblings as survivors and successors. What are they successors to? What is the relevance of their description as survivors?

In the quote from the will, I assume that where it says ‘myself’ the will actually shows your name.

There is reference to residue, but are there any specific legacies stated in the will?
