  • CCJ set aside hearing - advice needed

    Hi there,

I have a hearing to have my CCJ set aside coming up next month and require some advice on possible outcomes. I have searched extensively online but I'm struggling to find the correct information.

The CCJ was made against me in October 2015 but I did not receive any correspondence as I had moved house the month before. The claim was for unpaid legal costs, although I was entitled to legal aid for the case at the time, I was unable to get any bank statements to prove my income due to having very dodgy employers. I didn't find out about the judgment until 2019 and have been trying to get this case going since. The judgment is now due to be removed soon as it almost 6 years old.

My question is, what are the possible outcomes of my case? What happens if it is set aside, and what happens if it is rejected? I worry challenging it at this point may do more harm than good. I would greatly appreciate if anyone can help shed light on the matter for me.

    Thanks in advance.
