Hi and welcome to the auction of our beloved VW.
Engine:
Replaced in August 2011 with a reconditioned unit from The Engine Shop
The points and coil have been replaced with an electronic ignition system for optimum reliability
Body work:
Fair, it had been resprayed by the previous owner in 2006, and is now showing the usual signs of being 36 years old
Pop-Top:
This is the seller for us, the Devon Moonraker is just the best, a full width double bed above the rock n' roll bed, room for 2 or 3 children.
Their own little den and Pop-Top is completely dry and weather proof, it also provides a great storage area above the cab seats.
Interior:
Totally original, unmolested and very 1970's, even the flooring is original.
There is a sink complete with electric water pump, a two ring gas range and grill and a
two way fridge, 12v DC or Gas, (the gas mode is great for when you don't have a hook-up).
There is seating for 4 in the back with a portable table that can be placed between them and safety belts for 2 in the back (lap belts only)
Plenty of cupboard space both to the sides, above the back seats, below the rock n'roll bed and there is a wardrobe behind the passengers seat.
The rear seats, buddy seats and upper / lower mattresses have all been reupholstered with a complementary stripe patterned material,
with the front seats having hibiscus patterned seat covers (removable)
So all in all she's a great little camper, fully MOT-ed, Taxed and Serviced,
all works from purchase have been undertaken by a VW specialist
and is ready to hit the road
