Hacked / Hijacked eBay Motors Dealer account : braith12370(12 )

This is one of at least 31 scam listings using the above account

    "How does the scam work??"

That's what you want to know, isn't it!

Basically the fraudsters have taken over this account and anyone who sends in an email enquiry via this link -

    - will be communicating not with the dealer, but with the fraudsters

    ALSO !

The fraudsters have altered the contact telephone number

On the eBay listing page it looks like this :-

But look below, on the dealer's website, and you can see what they've done -

changed the last digit, which will probably lead to a dead number

And if you can't get through on the phone, you'll use the email -
except it will be intercepted by the fraudsters

URL for this vehicle on the dealer website :-

    http://www.braithwaitesgarage.co.uk/...car=PX63%20UEH

When contact is made, inspection will be denied for who knows what reason.
Instead potential buyers will be offered free delivery within 3 days, a 7-day cooling-off period so that a full refund will be made if the buyer is not completely satisfied, and during this 7-day period the payment will be 'looked after' by eBay or PayPal and only released to the seller after 7 days.

All of which is a complete fabrication.

    Leave it alone.
