Open Office Spreedsheet chart entry editing axis issue

I am attempting to put values into a chart. I have titles on the y and x axis but the columns are labelled 1 to 7 where i want to insert the year ie 2006 - 2012. It is driving me absolutely nuts.

Please can you tell me how to do this as the various google links I have looked at have confused the hell out of me.

Can't help you with this, but Libre Office is generally regarded as a superior open source free office suite now. I've found it much better than Open Office was.

I have sorted this out and thank you labman for a shout on Libre Office but, of course, you don't think I will let you get away with telling something that could be fantastic yet not leaving me a link to the software do you?
