    My laptop (on wireless network) has just decided I can't get internet but I can use the network?????

    Desktop ok which is connected to Cisc Modem with a cable

      when i get the start up button it appears to have unrecognised characters. have run full system scan and nothing there, have downloaded malwarebytes and am running it currently. Is there any other diagnosis?
