Re: The Join-In IT Query Thead

I bought a Belkin 6A8001 wireless router to replace my standard Virgin modem and it works great.

At first I made the mistake that Curly highlighted and got a cable router (Belkin Enhanced Wireless Router N150) but it wasn't compatable with the Virgin modem. I've still got it in the box if anyone wants it.

Back now---good link Curly-printed it out £47.99- in store when I got there £59.99---so they sold it at £47.99-lol

          So---presumably I uninstall this non-wireless network first ?

KingCom closed unfortunately----I have no cardboard packaging & have written passwords & telephone numbers all over the instruction leaflet----do you think I'll get away with "not fit for purpose"?----+ maybe 2 hours @£15 + petrol-lol

I never actually paid for it---it was going to be added to my DD Broadband Bill in January

So---going to install this new one---"I may be some time"

Well the rest should be dead easy.
Get into the wireless settings and set up the encryption. and SSID (The name you want to use, change it from the default one.)
                                WPA in pref over WEP.
Then add a password, your mobile number without the leading zero works a treat
