  • hmm, this is odd

recently, some changes have occured on my PC, i have attached a screenshot as an example.

The lines in blue? how or why has this happened?

All text was in black before, but now, every folder i open is a mix of blue and black.

Any ideas what the problem is?

    Anybody? lol :okay:

The blue text means that the file has been compressed, what you can do is right click on the file and under advanced options remove the check in the box which say compress this file.

This happens to me on my work pc, dont know how to stop it on all files but i *think* its compressing larger files to save disk space.

If you don't care for the different color on the compressed folders/files go into Folder Options>View
tab and uncheck "show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color", click Apply/OKBlack=Normal, Blue=Compressed, and Green=Encrypted.

Dont know how/why it changed to that view, but its sorted now.

Was starting to think it may be something more sinister, but alas...........
