We're not aware of any that have been to court. We know of one where Richard Howard discontinued the case before the hearing.


...How is what he operates, legal? -
He's on the edge of legal - the harassment of some people may be criminal behaviour but otherwise it's mostly civil law breaches

I think I noticed that he is based off-shore but that he also calls himself 'Sam Harris' - isn't this fraud in itself?
He is based in London, although the webhost he used is based in Germany. Nothing unusual about that though.
Calling himself Sam Harris - basically you can call yourself anything you like, it is entirely legal, although it is rather suspicious. He doesn't appear to use the name anywhere other than as a psedonym on letters/texts/calls. Much like DCAs have Mr Green and Mr Brown.


...I've noticed that their company seems to block book appointments and that they often suggest that you take an appointment that might have been made in a different name - surely this is not allowed at the Passport Office?
The HMPO say it is not allowed but in reality it happens and they are powerless to stop it.


...The other thing we have wondered is about a counter-claim - for all of the distress and wasted time his company is causing to people. Do you think that if on-mass this could be achieved to help put him out of business and give back money to those who have paid him?
There is the option to do a counterclaim for harrassment and for some data protection breaches - it depends on the specific circumstances of the case

Excellent. So they knowingly booked an appointment that couldn't possibly have been kept.

Yip, they gave someone else an appointment the day after the date of travel. Basically they aren't fussed as they get so many cancelled appointments that only cancel with BPS and not the HMPO they have quite a few to replace it with on their ''queue jumping'' list.

That's right, on their form they asked for the date of travel so it was made clear from the start that the 21st was the first day of our holiday

Just to update with the cases on here - there are now at least 35 peeps are defending claims - the latest claim is dated 5th March - and - first court date is April 28th so far.

One case has been discontinued by BPS after witnesss statements/bundles.

Figures from MOJ ( well HMCTS )

Working on getting Jan/Febs figures which I expect to be higher.

68% of claims issued settled/admitted/default judgment in that period.

The dates start in November as he didn't start issuing claims until December - the figures are weekly.

( He was busy having all his committee vote meetings in November anyway )

The one dropped by BPS proved (letter from the REAL passport office) that there was no appt booked in their name ... personally I don't think it matters if you can do this or not, your cases/defences are all strong anyway xx

Hello all. I am another victim of this cretin (or rather my daughter is). To cut a long story short she entered the site mistakenly in June 2014 and half way through got a call from a friend (travel agent) saying her passport was valid for her trip anyway (enough time left on it) so she exited the site before entering her payment details but had already given her address but does not recall signing any box.

She received a text from passports? that same evening giving her an appointment date for 2 days after she would had left the country on holiday! She texted back to cancel which was acknowledged then put it from her mind as she hadn't paid for any work therefore they shouldn't have done it + it was a completely useless date she was provided with. She received all the usual emails and texts inc a voicemail from what appeared to be a drunken man and also an invitation to call Sam Harris on his mobile as he was stuck in traffic and had time to take her call personally!

She received the court papers issue dated 24/2/15 and returned them via web stating she would be defending.

I know you guys are snowed under but any help would be gratefully received. This man is worse than a leech, or as equally as bad as his punctuation!
