So the ''package''........ being as they like arguing about the huge 25 item package you have bought (even though you didn't know)

              1 Passpoint Appointment -
sometimes you get one, sometimes not...and it's free with HMPO AND with BPS !

you are PAYING £117 for this lot....

2 Online Passport Office Booking Form -
well thats unnecessary - all you need to book an appt with HMPO is your name, DOB, and a mobile number for confirmation. It isn't a booking form, its you filling your details in to their contract.

3 - 30 Min Passport Consultation with senior adviser
laughable - has anyone actually had this consultation discussion at all where they didn't just intimidate you into paying them.

4 Appointment confirmation by email, text and letter
HMPO send a text to confirm. Do you need an email and a letter?

              5 Easy to follow directions
It's an email with a link to Google Maps. grrr.

6 Checking the passport form for errors
as you don't fill in a passport form and none of the details you give them are needed to book an appointment thats rubbish - plus I have seen quite a few forms/contracts and quite a lot have errors/typos in.

7 Free Emergency Travel Document if passport lost within 12 months (£95 value)
Well for starters that would only apply if you lost your passport and you were overseas - you'd have to attend the British Embassy/Consulate in the country you were in yourself with all your information and yes there is a £95 fee. It isn't something can be arranged in advance and I doubt very much if BPS would reimburse you the fee when you returned to the UK. Maybe they send you the ETD form ? (which of course is free as its a form to fill in to take to the embassy)

8 Arranging for 04 Passport Application forms to be posted
Anyone had one of those, and anyone received one in time for their appointment ? Pick it up at the postoffice or the HMPO adviceline send you one for free.

9 Membership to Queue Jumping Service
Have looked at this, basically if you cancel your appt once you realise BPS aren't the HMPO or if they go and make one in your name regardless - you go on the list and other customers take your appointment and pretend to be you to get in at the appointment...weirdly.

10 Free International Driving Licence Upgrade
Pointless, IDL is worthless and seems to be basically a translation booklet so people in other countries can read your driving licence. anyone had one btw ? It does not allow you to drive - for that you need an international driving permit. @Kati has more info on that.

11 International Freephone Service on Skype
anyone used that ? what would you use it for anyway?

12 20% discount on travel insurance partners
can't see any travel insurance partners mentioned anywhere on their site?

13 Optional Passport Office Exemption saving you time, travel and accomodation costs
Did anyone use this? or did everyone just go to the HMPO for their appointment themselves? now I could see that might be useful if you can't travel to the HMPO yourself - however it isn't what you were looking for when you went to book your appt and didn't know you'd bought it anyway.

14 Complete Authorization Letter permitting another to attend the apointment
same as above - Did anyone use this? or did everyone just go to the HMPO for their appointment themselves?

15 Letter to request duplication passport or lost and stolen form ( solicitor approved)
available from HMPO adviceline or the post office, for free.

16 Passport Application form in 50 languages and multilingual staff
Kati tested their passport translator thing and it doesn't work, don't know of anyone who tried / wanted to use multilingual staff

              17 Passport Photograph Resizing Service
well, lol, grrrr. So anyone used that ? No ? didn't think so.

Anyone know what the other 8 valuable items/services are?

If it had worked it's just an online translator tool (like bing) anyway.
I would have liked to see how accurate the translations were, seeing as out of the 50 either myself or one of my family/friends can speak most of them fluently

link for emergency travel document info - https://www.gov.uk/emergency-travel-document
                  How to apply

You need to apply in person. Contact your nearest British embassy, high commission or consulate to check if you need to make an appointment.
                  You must bring with you:
                  • a completed emergency travel document application form
                  • a recent photograph of yourself
                  • proof of your travel plans - eg, booking confirmations (or detailed written travel plans if you can’t book ahead)
                  • a police report if your passport has been stolen

You will have to pay a fee in local currency, equivalent to £95.
link for EHIC card (free) info - http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthc...-the-ehic.aspx
The main applicant for the EHIC must be ordinarily resident in the UK, and of British, other EU/EEA or Swiss nationality, to be eligible for the card. Providing a National Insurance (NI) or NHS number, for example, helps to prove that applicants are entitled to hold an EHIC.Residents of the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are not eligible for an EHIC.
If you are living in another EEA country and you receive a UK State Pension, or any other benefit that can be paid to you when you move abroad (exportable benefit), you may be entitled to a UK-issued EHIC. For more information, read our page on EHIC for pensioners and early retirees.
You can apply online for an EHIC, which is free of charge. You can also apply by phoning the automated service on 0300 3301350, or you can download the EHIC application form (PDF, 122kb) and return it to the NHS Business Services Authority (see address below).
Every family member requires an EHIC. If you are the main applicant, you can apply for yourself, or on behalf of your partner and any dependent children that are in full-time education and under the age of 19. If you already have an EHIC, you must enter your own details first and apply for any additional cards when prompted.
If you are under the age of 16, a parent or guardian will need to apply for you. Boarding school teaching staff can apply on behalf of any children in their care.
Each person you apply for will need to give their:
                  • full name
                  • date of birth
                  • NI or NHS number (CHI number in Scotland, or Health and Care Number in Northern Ireland)

However, temporary NI numbers are not valid. A temporary NI number uses the prefix "TN", the person's date of birth and "M" or "F" to denote gender (for example, TN131160M). These are no longer accepted and cannot be used to apply for an EHIC.
Your card will normally arrive within seven days if you apply using the official process.
AA link for international driving permit info - http://www.theaa.com/getaway/idp/
Is an IDP the same as an International Driving Licence (IDL)?

No. An International Driving Licence is not a legally recognised document and will not enable you to meet national requirements to carry an International Driving Permit (IDP).

Thats a point, the healthcard isn't on that list ( which I took from his SERVICES with ticks and crosses) list.

Assume he dipped his toes in the EHIC application market at one point as he owns EuropeanHealthcard . eu domain.

so, up to 18 ''services'' then...

Oops... I think I have just discovered something VERY interesting.

It would appear that the 'privatise for prosperity party' does not officially exist.

Google search produces this page when searching for 'privatise for prosperity'

                        http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct...3QCRcxaZh_qzyw

and it appeared to be official enough to fool me until I thought to hit the 'about' link which returned an error.

So I went to the homepage by deleting everything except the domain url:

                        http://openelectoralcommission.org.uk/

What home page has a title "Foo",''asd" as its only text and an embedded map pinched from somewhere else?

Of course the official website for the electoral commission is

                        http://www.electoralcommission.org.u...lse&context=en

and if that isn't blatant fraud under current law then it really ought to be...
