They are aware of companies cold calling patients to offer prescription collection services and in some cases suggesting that this is with the agreement of the practice.The Medical Group does not endorse any company cold calling patients and requesting their medication details.
The NECSu has a questionnaire to complete which includes the following questions;
- Did the caller state they were a marketing company working on behalf of registered pharmacies?
- Did the caller state they were operating on behalf of the NHS?
- Did the caller claim to be calling on behalf of any particular GP or GP practice?
