Would the CPS investigate people whom have provided false witness statements in an ongoing case?
I have Witness statements from 4 individuals in an ongoing case all of whom have lied, and I have evidence of numerous of these lies, for example one person has made over 10 false statements in one of her Witness Statement and I have audio evidence proving each and every one is false.
Is this not Perverting the Course of Justice? Or Perjury? I was told by someone that is only when they stand in the witness box at trial and swear to it that it becomes that, but I don't see how that could be? These false witness statements were submitted to a court of law by these individuals so how can that not already be a crime if I can prove with evidence that they lied?
If it is already a crime do I go to the police or CPS with it?
