Hi all, i would like if at possible some of your advice and opinions.
in 2012 i was injured at work and referred to the pension health advisors for eligibility for ill health retirement, i won't name the health advisors but they are probably the biggest private out sourcing company in england if not europe.
during 2013 this companies doctors produced false and misleading advice to my employer, and because of this stated i did not fit the criteria for IHR, after many appeals and my pointing out the errors which all of which were ignored i was eventual sacked dec 2013 by my employer as they said they could not retire me on health grounds because of the medical advice from the outsource company. this as a family man with children and no income massively exhaserbated my mental health issues, during 2014 and 2015 i have continually complained about this to the outsourcing company who eventual did launch an internal investigation and found that in the first report it did contain false misleading advice and that at the subsequent appeals it was never corrected. the company has apologised for the stress this has caused me and have offered to pay me "reasonable" compensation.
but this is where i need advice and help what is "reasonable" for approx 20 months of stress and the eventual sacking of my job which i did for 20 years because of there mistake?
i should also mention that after three appeals, my case went to an independent board who took 5 minutes to decide that i did indeed fit the criteria and was given retrospective ill health retirement.
many thanks in advance
