  • Injured in Pub

    Hi all,

    Thanks in advance.

I was injured in a pub last year and ended up being off work and with a fracture so i seemed legal advice and put a claim in against the pub.

Long story short the company that was running the pub at the time no longer trades there and are uncontactable.

Would the owner of the building be liable at all or the premise licence holder or is it solely with the tenant as they will have had full responsibility of the pub?

    Thanks

    What caused the injury?

How much money are you wanting to claim?

Have you issued court papers or only sent letters?

A step that wasn't well lit and not obvious.

      £25k

Court papers have been issued for the defendant to respond but i dont think its likely they will respond as they are no longer in business from my understanding

Was the defendant company insured? Your solicitor should be able to advise about how to proceed there.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
