Fall in grocery store due to negligence

Last sunday I went into a grocery store, forgot the flyer, went out into the lobby. As I stepped I went right down in a second. The step before the door did not have a mat as the other side I usually go in do. Also there was no wet floor sign. I did NOT seek MEDICAL help. Does this mean I can't have a law suit or get compensation for this? I called Stanley Law offices and thats what the women told me.
Its still emotional hard on me ( I know that probably sounds strange). To this day I haven't seek help because I didn't think I broke anything.
