    V5 Registration Document

    With the help of this website my VT is now going through.

    What do I do with the V5 registration document? I'm going to get another car shortly and don't want have to pay for 2x road tax and insurance.

    Inform DVLA that the car has now been transferred to the finance company.

      Thank you for the quick response. Do you mean using the yellow strip on the V5? Does that need a signature from them as well?

        You can do it by paper or you can go online here and do it https://www.gov.uk/sold-bought-vehicle
