  • Company Lease Car issues

Hi, I'm hoping someone can advise me on what to do next in my situation.

I have a car through work on a salary sacrifice scheme. Since getting the car in September 2014, the car has spent more time in the garage than out (this is not an exaggeration - the car has currently been sat in the garage for nearly 2 months, and has had two previous shorter stints in the garage prior to this). There's an issue with battery drain, that the company (Ford) thought was to do with the software controlling the radio module. I've been waiting for the software update to be created - which it was last week, but the update has not fixed the fault on my car.

I'm feeling pretty stuck. Ford won't speak to me as I'm not the owner of the car. I've writted a complaint letter which has been ignored. The company who provided the car are seemingly out of their depth and very passive - I have to depend on them to liaise with Ford frustratingly.

At the moment, Ford are providing a hire car through Enterprise (which is ok, but a different make and spec to the one in the garage), and I'm still getting charged each month, which stings a bit.

Obviously terminating the lease is on my mind, but I would be completely unwilling to pay early termination fees, and then have to be withour a car while I await a new lease to be arranged. And this doesn't fall into the category of voluntary termination in my eyes (though I guess the lease company would see it differently).

Thanks for any advice you can give.
