  • Voluntary Termination of High Mileage Car - Is it possible?

I punched a car for the purpose of teaching people to drive. I have payed over half the amount.
I wish to use my right to the Voluntary termination. It's a very high millage car. As I have used it for business will I be entitled to this?

Hi Andrew. Yes it is perfectly possible - I assume it was a normal HP regulated agreement? Assuming it is, then you may have to pay something towards the mileage. VT allows for 'fair wear and tear' and the mileage done by your car is likely to exceed the norm (10-12K per annum).

If the car was hired for business use it would not be regulated of course and the provisions of the act would not apply, so you need to look at your agreement.
