Not sure if this has been asked somewhere but my Eco Boost went boom in April whilst on the motorway.
I travel for work so had to get it fixed asap but couldn't afford the cost of a new engine. So I managed to find someone who could sort a reconditioned engine at a reduced price (but no paperwork)
Since then I have been permanently nervous about driving in case something similar happens.
I am almost at 50% of my finance agreement but to settle and sell myself would still be over £4000. So have looked at VT as this I could manage but would the reconditioned engine mean I couldn't actually do it? Other than the change in engine the car is in good condition (did miss one service as well) I just don't want to go try and then get a huge bill due to this as I can only just scrape enough together to get a cheap little runaround and I've already spent enough getting it running again.
