  • Regret signing with CF24/7 and subsequent nightmares with a dead car - please help!

    Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help me?

Last year I bought a car for approx £2900 on credit.

Looking back I was under a lot of pressure; Family Court, Mental Health issues, desperate for work and money but no car.

The only credit available was with CarFinance24/7 (yes I know now)

In the last month: new clutch £800, MOT £300, and now the engine has seized (£2000+)

I am now facing £4000 balance to them and I have a dead car that is not worth repairing.

On the statement I noticed this:

Advance: £3,895 - The car wasn't even listed at this I think it was 2995

The balance is now £3890 - I have already paid them £1490

I know I was stupid but I was desperate. A friend said that it's possible they were irresponsible in lending to me as I was in and out of work/on UC at the time, was under immense stress from losing my daughter and representing myself in family court.

Can anyone offer some positive news/advice? Most grateful.
