  • VT Advice - Charges for Value Added Products

    Hi.

I wonder if you can advise?

I have enquired about (but not initiated yet) a VT for my PCP agreement for a Fiat 500. I have purchased a newer different vehicle so I want to hand the Fiat back (I have just over 12 months left).

FCA tell me I am over the 50% point, and I am well within the mileage limit agreement.

They are saying I owe them £523.22 for value added products including gap insurance.

I have called the gap insurance, and tyre and alloy wheel cover providers (both have an end date in May, a year before the PCP ends), I was told that to cancel now would not be beneficial as taking into account the admin fees (£20 and £30) there would be nothing left to refund.

Can I challenge the £523.22 charge - it doesn’t make sense to me, or am I oblivious to something? When I did question it in an initial conversation with FCA on the telephone they just said that the charges were because they had paid the full amount to the dealership when I entered into the agreement. I’m a bit confused!

I’d be really grateful for any advice that might help me to understand where they are coming from with this charge before I formally notify them I want to VT.

    Thank you.
