  • Suzuki/BlackHorse - Voluntary Termination liability

    Good morning

I have an agreement with Suzuki for a PCP deal.

£218.62 a month and it was for 5 years.

I am at month 35 and Suzuki have confirmed I can VT if I pay a liability figure of £349.57 - which is a combination of my final car payment to hit 36 months and to terminate the GAP insurance bundled in

The car is going to BCA tomorrow.

The lady at Blackhorse told me, that as I'm doing a VT, not a PCP return, I only need the car in good condition.

I queried whether id need to pay anything if BCA say there's scratches or whatever they like to 'see' and she told me no - as its a voluntary termination i wouldn't be liable for these charges.

If it was a PCP Return however, I would.

Could someone explain the difference here? I was almost certain id need to pay for the two alloys I've curbed, but this implied to me I don't pay a penny after the £349.57 I mentioned above.

    Which leads me to BCA.

I expect they will tell me there is damages to pay, but I guess I just tell them I'm not liable and can they liaise with suzuki, rather than signing anything?

Thanks in advance, just a scary thought this!

Don't believe what the advisor has told you, suggest you read the terms and conditions and you'll find something in there possibly about vehicle damage being reviewed in accordance with the standard used.

Why are you paying the final month if you are going to VT? You only need to pay it if the due date has passed.
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you

Hi Rob, Thanks for this - I will double check the contract. I intend on keeping £400 aside "just in case" as bar the curb on 2 alloys, its in mint condition.

So in terms of VT, I am at arguably 48% - not 50%, so to hit 50 I need to make this payment (as stated in the VT Pack)
