VT and V5 logbook

Hi, I am ready to VT my Audi pcp. However, I have lost my V5, I have applied for a new V5 with payment by post ( DVLA are not answering the phone have tried for weeks).

i know in normal times it would only take a couple of weeks max, but current climate they are saying it could be six weeks.

i really need to get the VT underway. Does anyone know what will happen if they come to collect and the V5 has still not arrived. Will they refuse to take it or would there be a charge?

Finally got through on phone to DVLA after 4 weeks of trying, paid the £25 again and they've said it will come in 5 days, so should all be ok. There is a chance ill get my posted application cancelled and a cheque back for £25 but no guarantee. Not massively bothered as no doubt VWFS would charge me if i don't have it anyway.
