  • Voluntary Termination - Excess Mileage/Ware & tare?

    Hi All,

I am looking to end my PCP agreement from September (due to the balloon payment being £5,100 and the car not being worth this and i also no longer wish to own the car) i am just looking for advice on what the process entails as I can not get any information from Close Brothers Motor Finance on the car and what the situation will be until i end the agreement. I have paid alot more than the 50% agreement to end so wondered if the following would apply?

A: will i be charged excess mileage if i give the car back? (exceeded the 7,000 miles a year)
B: Would i still be charged for any wear and tear? (i have two minor bumps, no fault of mine) i have asked around and have been told there is no point fixing these as they may find fault with them any way.
C: is it a case of me handing the keys back and as i've paid over the 50%the above does not apply?
