  • Cancelling a PCP within 14 days - Health issues

    Evening all,

Hopefully someone can help? 8 days I purchased a performance vehicle via PCP.

Since I have received the car my back has been in dreadful shape, I am not sleeping and literally living on pain killers. I have been told by my doctor that using the car will very likely cause permanent damage.

Therefore I want to return it? The finance documents say that I have 14 days to cancel the agreement but in doing so I have to pay the full amount (which I cannot). Does the dealership have to accept the car back? I also gave a sizeable deposit (which they took over the phone) does that give me any coverage under the distance selling regulations act? Also do they have to return that?

I collected the car in person and signed the papers there.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
