  • VW voluntary termination

Long story but we have a 3 year old Golf GTD which we purchased December 2016 on a 42 month agreement. Annual mileage was set at 10,000 however it’s currently at around 35,000 after just over 37 months.*
Ive checked my agreement and it does very clearly say on there the excess mileage but I’m convinced we were told the Mileage wouldn’t matter if we did VT. I’ve sent in the form to request VT however in the meantime we have found another car which we want to purchase using cash. They have offered us more than the rest of the agreement if that makes sense so it would pay off the agreement and then we would pay the extra and then wouldn’t be stung by excess mileage or damage charges (it’s in good condition but has been well used for 3 years!) Any idea how I would stand with this? I realise I can’t keep the car now I’m doing VT but can I part exchange it...as long as the amount is paid off does it matter?*
