  • VT - on Mis-Sold Faulty car

I am looking to initiate a VT for my car on PCP. Only 2 months left to pay, so well over the 50% paid

The issue is that the car needs a new engine, but is no longer in warranty and therefore the dealership have said it is my responsibility to pay for the engine. Costs will be over £7k and the car is not worth this.

The engine fault is a common fault with the car (Nissan Qashqi 1.2dgt) and therefore I wish to state within the VT that I believe I was missold the car as it was one within a batch of the faulty engines.

What section of legislation should I put within my VT letter. I intend to suggest that the Nissan Finance pick up the car and argue out the repair with Nissan themselves.

I am actually terrified that I will end up being responsible but will try this firstly as I have no money to spend on repairs.

    Any help much appreciated.
