    Hi all

Apologies if this has already been asked on here, I’m new to all this. Can a finance company put a mark on your credit file before taking you to court? I’m disputing charges that Alphera Finance/BMW Finance have invoiced me for, and they’ve just sent their final letter saying they disagree so won’t lower the charges. I will be taking it to the financial ombudsman and if needed I will go to court if they request that. But I want to know if they can put anything on my credit file and if I can prevent this happening. I don’t know if they would take me to court over this but I’m not going to pay because the charges are unreasonable.

    thanks

In my view, the answer is no but the only way you are going to get any real success is to take them to court.

    Nobody has yet done so.
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you
