  • Voluntary Termination, steps?

I have just posted off a template letter to VT a HP car (and emailed the finance co. a copy) giving 14 days to contact me to arrange etc and I have a couple of questions.

Firstly, I specified in both the e-mail and letter I will only deal with them through e-mail or post (because previous interactions with them in the past they are very rude, talk crap and like to threaten all sorts on the phone) and they are instantly ignoring that and trying to call me. I assume I am OK sticking to insisting it is all done via writing?

Secondly, at what point do I cancel tax/insurance on the car? do I fill in and send off the V5, or wait to see what the finance company ask?

Lastly, do I HAVE to take the car back to them or can I insist it is collected and can they charge me for this?

I am expecting a huge fight with them so trying to arm myself with as much info as possible!
