  • vt car finance issues

I VTd my car in august 2019 and the finance company now state that I owe them money for damage and excess mileage on the vehicle.

I have taken pictures I looked after the car and dont feel there claim is just. I have disputed the balance and got a nasty email saying that they have never lost a court dispute and therefore the balance will remain outstanding.

I used 2 letter templates from here and a further email advising the car was returned in good order albeit with minor scratches etc through fair wear and tear. I suppose I cannot dispute the excess mileage my agreed 10000 miles per year was over by around 1000 miles per year over the 3 years I had the car.

they have told me to get legal assistance, what is my next step. I have photographic evidence inside and outside.

    any help is much appreciated.

    thanks

Treat the damage and excess mileage as separate issues.

Is the damage they are claiming just the scratches ? Have you asked them for photographs to compare with those you took before they collected the vehicle.

Who is the finance company ?

On the mileage are we talking a few hundred over the limit or thousands ?

I'lll move your thread to the motoring forum
