    Hi

I am about to begin the VT process having already paid more than 50% of the total amount but wonder if I should cancel the direct debit so we don’t pay more money unnecessarily?

The first email and letter will be sent tomorrow, the next direct debit is due in ten days.

    Thanks

Depends on when you say the agreement is to be terminated - if before the next due payment date then you should be fine to cancel but only once it is terminated. I would usually allow 48 hours before cancelling so that there's no doubt it's been received.
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you
