Hello,
I recently sent a letter to Black Horse finance, exercising my right of Voluntary Termination of my car finance. They have come back with two things:
1) That I owe them the outstanding ~£230 balance on the GAP insurance, which I am not disputing and will pay them, however;
2) They're claiming that because i hadn't hand-signed the bottom of my original termination letter (I forgot - argh!) that they can't process the VT from that date, which would mean that I'll be terminating after another payment date has gone by and therefore I owe them that payment as well.
Do they have the right to refuse notification my termination because I hadn't signed the letter? I didn't believe it was required, especially since I could have notified them via email?
A swift response would be much appreciated, and thanks in advance for any advice offered.
